Janitri organised breast cancer awareness session to spread awareness amongst women

The event was successfully undertaken by the janitri team with participation by eminent speakers.

The session was joined by Dr.Reshu Gupta , Senior Consultant,Critical care medicine,Health City Hospital, Guwahati .

According to Dr. Reshu Gupta “ Every year, the month of October is dedicated to spreading awareness and raising funds for the cause of breast cancer. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, charities, organizations and individuals work to spread awareness about the disease so that more and more women are educated about the importance of getting tested regularly.

So was done by JANITRI on 10th of November. I was privileged to be one of the panellist in the discussion along with Ms Vandana Teji and moderated by Dr Shakti

The discussion was very informative where we discussed about the causes , risk factors , prevention and treatment modalities . Social economic issues were also discussed.

It was one of the best experiences of mine

I hope I coukd do some justice for the Nobel cause to spread awareness among the general public to help early diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer .

Looking forward to be associated with JANITRI in near future too.

Ms.Vandana Teji said " Today Janitri organised a Panel Discussion on Breast Cancer Awareness and had invited panelists from 2 different specialisations.I was from Non Medical field, yet I want to remind people that this disease may be demographically impacting more women but is not limited to the female gender rather it's gender neutral, so everyone must stay vigilant. As a working professional I know it's difficult to cook elaborate meals 3 times a day but let us all try to eat local and be mindful of the packets from which we are eating. Let's start reading the labels on the packaged food, make conscious choices and call out the poison sellers.

We can use the help of simple calendar reminders to make sure we don't miss our quarterly breast scans.

Entrepreneurs please come up with startups ideas which can help us fight cancer. HR leaders please introduce Group Mediclaim Policies which provide cancer coverage to your employees. The need of the hour is to talk extensively about breast cancer, set up health check camps for employees.

If you know someone who is unable to get proper cancer treatment due to financial constraints guide them to the various Govt Schemes and Trusts.

Remember early detection is like that golden stitch which can actually keep your life together"

The event is Moderated by Dr.Shakti Mishra PT, Head of Healthcare Vertical ,Janitri.

The speakers highlighted how we can contribute our part to reduce mortality of women by living a conscious life to fight against no of cause of death of women and make oneself and community healthy and happy
