Women make enormous contributions to economic development, whether in businesses, on farms, as entrepreneurs or employees, or by doing unpaid care work at home and we should all invest in their economic empowerment if we want to advance our society

Dr.Madhurima Goswami, Head of CSWSC, Dr Rupam Kataki, Director, IQAC, Tezpur University in association with Janitri organized an event with the local women organizations name, Aparajita, and Chitralekha rural women organizations to develop the rural community of cultural capital of Assam.
Dr.Hirak Ranjan Das, Deputy Director, Innovation cell, Royal Global University, Usha rani Devi, President of Janitri Assam, Sabi Baruah, VP of Janitri Assam, Manmoyuri Devi, co-founder and director of Kanoka Village resort, Dr. Rumi Borah, founder, and director of Janiti contributed as a resource person to help the local women entrepreneurs of the region
There was a felicitation program to encourage local women entrepreneurs from Tezpur, Dr.Kasturi Sharma, a social entrepreneur from Tezpur invited to share her journey
Dr.Madhurima Goswami, Head of CSWSC is very happy to organize such an event to uplift the women from the region and she said that she will organize more such events and workshops to help all women entrepreneurs from the locality
Dr.Rumi Borah from Janitri said that her organization will happily work with Tezpur University to develop the locality by empowering women economically in all possible ways
Dr Rupam Kataki said this is just the beginning and we will not stop our developmental work for the region
Dr.Hirak Ranjan Das also assured all possible help and support to women entrepreneurs from the region
