One of her most remarkable contributions was introducing woven borders in place of stitched borders, enhancing both the elegance and craftsmanship of Assamese silk sarees. She also broke away from the conventional white colour palette, experimenting with vibrant colours inspired by nature and incorporating indigenous Assamese ethnic motifs into contemporary designs. These innovations gave Assamese silk sarees a fresh identity and significantly expanded their appeal across India.

Recognizing the larger national and international demand for sarees, she strategically focused on developing premium silk sarees alongside traditional products. This visionary decision helped open new markets for Assamese silk and positioned Madhushree as a pioneer in taking Assam's handloom heritage beyond regional boundaries.

What began as a small weaving initiative has today grown into a thriving enterprise supporting nearly 200 women artisans. More importantly, it has become a model of how entrepreneurship can preserve heritage while creating economic independence for communities.
