In a world where workplace safety is often overlooked until something goes wrong, Harshlata Rewaskaar chose to build a mission around prevention, awareness, and dignity. Her story is not just about entrepreneurship—it is about courage, responsibility, and the determination to create safer spaces for workers, women, and children across India.
Early Roots: A Mind Built on Discipline and Excellence
Born and raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Harshlata always believed that knowledge must translate into real-world impact. With a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and an M.Tech in Production Engineering, she demonstrated academic excellence early on and was honored with a Gold Medal during her postgraduate studies.
But Harshlata’s ambition did not stop with engineering. Understanding that industries need stronger safety leadership, she pursued multiple professional certifications, including ADIS, ADEE, and NEBOSH IGC (UK). She also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management and became a certified POSH and POCSO Consultant, recognized by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Today, she is also a Lead Auditor for ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001, and is currently pursuing an LL.B. from the University of Mumbai to deepen her understanding of legal compliance, workplace safety laws, and corporate governance frameworks.
Her journey reflects a rare combination of technical expertise, legal awareness, and social responsibility—a powerful foundation for meaningful change.
The Moment That Sparked a Mission
For several years, Harshlata travelled across India, conducting industrial safety awareness programs and serving as a faculty member for Industrial Safety at MSBTE. Through these experiences, she witnessed a troubling reality.
Despite regulations and policies, awareness about workplace safety laws remained alarmingly low, and many organizations treated safety as a secondary priority rather than a fundamental right.
Every time her sessions inspired workers and managers to adopt better safety practices, she felt a deeper calling. She realized that awareness alone was not enough—India needed a structured platform dedicated to safety education and implementation.
That realization led to the birth of Arkaence in 2024.
Arkaence: A Vision for Holistic Safety
Founded in Mumbai, Arkaence is more than a training institute—it is a movement focused on building a holistic safety culture.
Harshlata envisioned a platform that would address safety not only in industries but also in environments where vulnerability is highest: workplaces, institutions, and communities involving women and children.
Through Arkaence, she works to bridge critical gaps in workplace safety training, POSH compliance, POCSO awareness, industrial risk management, and safety leadership development.
Her mission is simple yet powerful:
Safety should never be treated as an expense—it is a responsibility and a fundamental human right.
The Challenges of Changing Mindsets
Like many purpose-driven entrepreneurs, Harshlata faced significant challenges while building her venture.
One of the biggest hurdles was the mindset toward safety in India. In many sectors, safety is still seen as an optional cost rather than a long-term investment in people and productivity.
She also encountered challenges such as:
Cost-cutting on safety infrastructure and training
Delayed implementation of safety initiatives
Resistance to behavioral change within organizations
But Harshlata refused to be discouraged. Instead, she focused on what mattered most—education, persistence, and building credibility through impact.
Breakthrough Moments That Defined Her Growth
A defining moment in Harshlata’s journey came when she was empanelled as a government-recognized POSH and POCSO Trainer by the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
This recognition validated her years of work and strengthened the credibility of Arkaence as a trusted training platform.
Her expertise has also been acknowledged at respected academic and policy platforms. She has been invited:
As a panelist at leadership and policy discussions at Mumbai University
As a jury member for project exhibitions at St. Xavier’s Institute of Technology
To contribute insights on workplace safety, gender sensitivity, and child protection
These milestones reflect the growing recognition of her voice in the fields of industrial safety, compliance training, and workplace dignity.
Entrepreneurship: A Journey of Transformation
For Harshlata, entrepreneurship has been far more than launching a business—it has been a deeply transformative journey.
Personally, it has made her stronger, more self-aware, and more resilient. Navigating uncertainty strengthened her confidence and helped her develop the ability to make bold decisions under pressure.
Professionally, her role evolved from simply delivering training sessions to building systems, shaping safety cultures, and influencing organizational policies.
She shifted from being task-oriented to vision-driven—creating long-term impact rather than short-term solutions.
Most importantly, entrepreneurship gave her ownership of her mission. It allowed her passion for safety, dignity, and empowerment to become a structured initiative that benefits organizations and communities alike.
Values That Guide Her Every Day
At the core of Harshlata’s work lie five guiding values:
Integrity – Doing what is right, even when it is difficult
Empathy – Understanding the human side of safety
Accountability – Taking responsibility for creating safer environments
Empowerment – Educating people to protect themselves and others
Excellence – Delivering the highest standards in training and compliance
These values shape not only her professional work but also the culture she hopes to inspire across workplaces in India.
A Message to Aspiring Women Entrepreneurs
Harshlata believes that every woman carries the potential to build something meaningful.
Her advice is both powerful and reassuring:
“You do not need permission to dream big. Your voice is valid, and your ambition is powerful. Every woman has the strength to build, lead, and create impact—she just needs clarity, courage, and consistency.”
Building a Legacy of Safety and Empowerment
Through Arkaence, Harshlata Rewaskaar continues to champion a powerful cause: creating safer workplaces and strengthening awareness about safety rights.
Her journey reminds us that entrepreneurship is not only about profit or growth. Sometimes, it is about protecting lives, empowering communities, and building a culture where safety, dignity, and respect are never compromised.
And in doing so, Harshlata is not just running a business—she is building a legacy of responsibility, awareness, and transformation
