A awareness program on Protection and Conservation of environment in Keshab dham, Paltan bazar, Guwahati on last 16th June. It was successfully organized by Vandaneeya Laxmibai Kelkar Smarak Samiti
(VLKSS) drawing significant attention from various stakeholders and enthusiasts. The event featured Professor Parimal Chandra Bhattacharya, a renowned Environmentalist and Scientist, as the chief speaker. Professor Bhattacharya delivered an insightful keynote address on the pressing issues and solutions related to environmental preservation and biodiversity conservation.
Dr. Namita Deka graced the occasion as the special guest, offering her expertise and perspectives on harmful effects of plastic pollution and its control strategies. The program saw the participation of several notable figures, including Neeta Devi, All India Joint Relations Head; Simantini Baruah, Regional Joint Executive; and Mamu Das, Regional Publicity Head and Rilanjana Talukdar, Regional Media Head. Their presence underscored the importance of collective effort in tackling environmental challenges. The program was hosted by Dr Rajashree Saikia, Guwahati Mahanagar Sewa Pramukh, Rastra Sebika Samiti.
With over 60 participants, the seminar provided a platform for fruitful discussions and exchange of ideas aimed at fostering a more sustainable future and Conservation issues of biodiversity. Attendees included environmentalists, students, and members of various organizations dedicated to environmental causes. The event concluded with a call to action, urging everyone to contribute to the preservation and protection of the environment.
